Harry Potter Or Twilight

In most peoples point of view, Harry Potter is better but I still like Twilight better and I have to admit I didn't read Harry Potter but I did watch the movie. That counts right? Well to me it does so yeah.Twilight has this romance that goes on which catches most teenage girls and Harry Potter however has this magic thing going on.

To me personally, they're both good but Harry Potter isn't that interesting to get me start reading it so I know it's about wizards, evil guys and stuff but it never got me to read it like how Twilight did. Twilight is alot better book to me since I like romance and fantasies more than magic. I watched Harry Potter and the Goblin of Fire, not so interesting.

All I got from the movie is this freaky teacher trying to kill Harry but his other teacher saved him. What's the point really, people wants to kill him. All J.k rolling did was kill the characters in her book. I think she's killing all the characters in her eighth book if she's writing one since the person that played Harry is too old. I watched Twilight too, the movie wasn't as good as the book since too much details were forgotten. Off subject kinda , sorry.

So I disagree to the people who are saying that Harry Potter is better.I really don't know what's so special about Harry Potter that it's the best book ever to be written which is what I heard. Really it doesn't matter, so some people like magic and all that stuff more and some people like romance more but they're all good books.I still think Twilight is better! (lol)

Please feel free to comment on your opinion of Harry Potter and Twilght! NO one copies my subject and I mean it.(lol)I mean it!

I don’t know which book I should pick either its twilight or Harry Potter so which one?
Twilight has romance and Harry Potter has like magical adventurous ideas though I’m saying that Twilight has it too but you have to read carefully. Yes I have read all the first four books (Bella’s perspective) and Harry Potter I haven’t even thought about reading the book because it’s so much to read but I’ve watched some of the movies. Basically, I’m trying to say that I like both Twilight and Harry Potter so it is like 50/50, feel free to comment on my blog to thanks.

  2. In my opinion I think Harry Potter is better because in Harry Potter it is like magical/action but in Twilight it is all romance (mostly). I think action/magical is better because you get excited. I have read the first few pages of Twilight but I couldn’t go on it wasn’t getting me interested in the book (sorry Heidi). Sometimes Harry Potter starts really slow but it captures the reader’s interest so the readers keep going. I might attempt to read Twilight again but the chances are low. The movie was okay but I don’t know if I want to read the book again.

  3. Hey Heidi!
    You're blog is pretty cool.

Well, in your blog you stated that Twilight is better than Harry Potter. Well, in my opinion, I also prefer Twilight. This is only because Stephanie Meyer writes the book in a easy perspective to understand. In Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling uses terms that you only understand at the very end and I can't hold on with that kind of suspense.
Back to Twilight. In Twilight, it mainly speaks about romance and the whole book is held together by Edward and Bella's love for each other. That's like the main reason I like it. There is a lot of things that both Edward and Bella do for each other that is so romantic and sweet. And to me; I like those things.
Now I would have chose Harry Potter over Twilight but the one main reason that I didn't is because Harry Potter drags on. What I mean by that is that the story keeps on going and going with little details and not getting to the main part. That's why I put it down. It was getting really boring and I couldn't see what was going to happen; therefore lost interest.
Twilight, on the other hand; got right to main idea and then slipped into detail but the reader kept in touch with the book because of the tension and suspense that rose on the little details.
Okay. I know I'm saying all the good things about Twilight just to throw Harry Potter down and prove a point. But in honesty, Twilight bored me a bit. Just slightly, though. This is because, everyone was talking about it and I was fed up with the whole saga of Stephanie Meyer's books. It was really getting to my head so I abandoned the book. But then during the summer I picked up Twilight from the Library and noticed it wasn't that bad. I mean it had a whole new fresh start to reading.
I know I'm going all over the place from Twilight to Harry Potter and back and forth, but I just have one more plus point on the Harry Potter series. Yes, Harry Potter. I know I said I liked Twilight more; but this is important. Harry Potter sprang out originality. The ideas were new and weren't as much copied as Twilight's were. Twilight was based on an old story that was written in like the 1800s (I think) about the same concept: vampires and werewolves; there was a person who could choose her destiny and a bunch of love.
That brings us back to the fact that sometimes Harry Potter can be okay. With fresh ideas and suspensing scenes; I don't mind picking up the Harry Potter series again.
As of saying that, I think I've changed my mind. Both Harry Potter and Twilight deserve a half and half liking. I like them both because both of them have their pros and cons, so they can't beat each other in fairness.
So that is my conclusion: I can't choose. Basically, they are both serving me a fifty-fifty sort of vote. I like them both.

  5. Hey
It's okay Jessica.I actually got so ignore of Twilight since everyone was talking about it and Edward. You probably coudn't believe that.lol.When i picked up the book and start reading it, it wasn't so bad and i end up reading the book intill mid night since i couldn't put it down.I think Harry Potter is confusing and out of order kind of too.I'm not being mean or putting Harry Potter down well actually I am sort of.I love the romance part too, that's why I couldn't put the book down.I had to know what wa gonna happen like will they break up, live happily together and all those other stuff.Mr.Leavitt was right, blogging is fun if you talk about things you love like Twilight.I hope you give Twilight another try Jessica ,please.
